A rather unsteady beat formed within his caged chest, a heavy gulp forced down imprisoned air that yearned to escape his nervous lungs. With each step his uneasiness receded into his very own shadow figure that was so graciously provided by the giant star that warmed the new found world. The workers were moving in a frenzy, careful to make the appropriate accommodations for such high ranked individuals labeled royalty. One poor soul tripped out of accidental clumsiness, causing deep concern in the prince—Rasler hurried to their side to aid them and their fallen composure.

”Careful now, don’t need any injuries my friend.”

The worker had his full attention, grey hued optics carefully examined the woman’s body to ensure they were able to go about their days service in good spirits. A small tap on her shoulder and a radiant smile was all it took to bring them out of their small embarrassment and bring upon happiness. Being focused on the aide before him, his visage past said person had been blurred a bit—until a slight glimmer provoked him. Complete silence was all that fell around the Nabradian heir, foolishly ignoring the many thanks of the person who had recovered from a minor mishap. Had this been the woman he was destined to meet? Her hair was of golden silk just as the fine garments that adorned her small frame. A smile such as glorious as his own; a small shiver had spiraled through his spine in pure amazement.

Walking on past the soldiers whom were supposedly the lead in marching forward for extra security, the prince had never seen such a beauty in all the many years he was so graciously bestowed upon. One deep breath, a long overdue exhale had followed in attempt to remain calm and noble as ever. Bowing after closing the distance, his knee shone in the last stream of light that the sunset had allowed.

        “Alas, we meet..lady Fleuret.”

{☆} — The Tenebraean ambassador turned towards the attendants lined uniformly behind her, briskly instructing them to tend to the weary visitors that have touched ground on their kingdom’s soil. She carefully watched as they meticulously carried out her instructions with the utmost finesse and efficiency, which resulted in a small smile etched upon her rosy lips at the sense of accomplishment she felt. Everything was going according to the schedule she painstakingly planned and things seemed to be running smoothly as she had hoped. Ready to greet the waiting visitors herself, Stella strode gracefully through the busy crowd until she felt a sudden weakness tug at her lower extremities, causing her to slump on her knees against the ground. Only then had she failed to realize how fatigued she had been from her preparations the days before that she cursed herself for her ineptitude at such a crucial time.

But before she could have a chance to recover from her unfortunate fall, a young man had rushed past the crowd to lend her a much-needed hand to her surprise. “You have my utmost gratitude, kind sir.” The princess responded to the gracious soul that offered her help, shifting to meet his gaze only to find herself staring face-to-face with the Nabradian prince himself. Instantly did she flinch away from him, as if his touch elicited burning sensations against her pale flesh. She regretted having done so, as she had feared her actions might have been seen as offensive towards her fellow royal. But when she beheld the soft expression evident on his comely visage, she felt her cheeks go warm and hastily regained her composure, making sure he did not catch wind of her discomfort.

Please pardon me for my behavior, Lord RaslerIt is an honor to make your acquaintance in return.”

Stella greeted him respectfully, uneasiness quickly replaced by a gentle smile. “While it pleases me to see you arrive safely from the long journey…” She hesitated for a moment and had considered whether to bring the subject forward. As much as she hated to admit it, her pride had been mildly dented from the minor mishap that had occurred. First impressions were important and she was to be the representing figure for her kingdom. For her to stumble like she did in front of her guests… what did the foreign noble even think of her afterwards?

“– To witness me in such a predicament, I am ashamed.” Stella finishes her confession to the prince, a stifled laugh escaping parted lips so as to hide her embarrassment.

[ ♛ℝ ] Upon the arrival, Rasler had been standing on the main deck of the airship gazing at the new worlds scenery. His travels still having a few moments before reaching the landing strip, the prince decided to survey the surroundings to obtain some knowledge before the meeting with the Tenebrae heiress. Vastly different from Ivalice, all seemed to be more advanced that his era- technology had been much superior.

For the first time in many moons the prince had a strange nervous feeling constricting his thoughts. His helmet gripped within his right hand, hands slightly sweating for he didn’t know what to expect from the princess. As the tower had drawn closer, his heart had began to beat faster. Why out of all of the destined meetings did this trouble him so?

”O’ Paladin of Nabradia- do not falter to such a weakness.”

One of his trustworthy comrades were kind enough to take his head gear from his grasp and allow him to relax. A few scholars were ranting on about proper words and how to successfully execute each schmooze. Rasler had been a man of business and for once in his life he wanted to play the cards with a bit of change. As his mother did so well to teach him chivalry, the prince also knew well to act like a normal hume and express his feelings. A few nods and an abrupt halt in the ship, meant that he would shortly be on his way and disembark towards the King’s abode.

{☆} —- It was the eve before that the king of Tenebrae had formally announced its latest ally from the far west– the Kingdom of Nabradia, situated at the center of the continent of Ivalice and between the neighboring kingdoms of Archadia and Dalmasca. Not much details had been released concerning the recent alliance; Such conferences behind closed doors were held sub rosa. Due to her curious nature, Stella was displeased being kept in the dark, but knew all too well that her father had good reasons keeping meetings clandestine – a sensitive matter, most likely. However, to think that such a small kingdom would extend its reach so far from home. What did Nabradia hope to gain from this alliance?

As the ambassador and princess of her kingdom, it was her duty to welcome their visitors in her father’s stead. More importantly, she was interested to know what sort of individual the Nabradian prince, Rasler Heios Nabradia, was. She had heard various stories of the prince through the more seasoned soldiers, and they all seemed to hold him in such high regard. Gallant, kindhearted, chivalrous – words that had continuously been used to describe the male noble of Ivalice. Stella had the utmost respect for such people, making her quite confident that she and the Nabradian prince would in time foster good relations in the future.

The distant sounds of roaring engines had started to become discernible in the sky, and the blonde aristocrat watched the arriving airship with a roseate smile gracing her lips.

Ah, it seems our guests of honor have arrived.
